Four new Black Belts!
On Sunday 2nd August twelve Dojo members travelled to Nottingham for a super day of Karate with Head of JKS England Alan Campbell 8th Dan. The class covered driving off the heel, kicking drills and finished with the kata Chinte.
After the 2 hour session, students then split off for Kumite training with England Squad Coach, Sensei Matt Price 7th Dan or Referee training with Chief Referee, Sensei Geoff Dixon 6th Dan.
A fine day of high level karate.
A Shodan grading followed the 3 hours training in front of the JKS England grading panel. I am so pleased to announce that four members passed shodan gradings. Congratulations to Sophie Antcliffe, Matt Halden, Aiden Slator and Lacey Taundry. Brilliant performances from years of dedicated training building to this point.
